Stealing YW Posts

I just found out today some shitty news: our threads are being copied and posted in another forum! And I don't mean threads are even being summarized in some way, but they're being jacked word for word and posted over at AsianComplex (http://64.57.209.17/~pak_kc/index.php).

Here are some helpful screen shots to give you an idea of what I'm talking about. Take their "Hate Crimes Against Us" forum:

And here's an example of what those specific threads look like. The considerable effort was taken to change karizma's post title, "When is cheating okay?" (http://forums.yellowworld.org/index.php?act=ST&f=38&t=1492) to "Is cheating okay sometimes?"

And you guessed it -- ikpaki's the culprit. Some of you may remember him as the enthusiastic "welcomer" to new yw (female) members; I remember him as the guy who threatened to kick kasia's ass (http://forums.yellowworld.org/index.php?act=ST&f=12&t=692). Now I can remember him as the guy who can't think of original topics for his own friggen forum!

ikpaki -- or whatever username you're using to spoof on yw -- stop the blatant stealing. You are breakin' the law, smart guy. You cannot copy the content of other people's work, word for word, and present it as your own: it's called copyright infringement. Do the members of your board know about this...? Christ, they might as well just join yw, at least they'd be getting the real story!

Look, I'm glad you've started your own forum and I wish you well, but don't jack the posts of yw members.

Some sites post a disclamer with the story or article that says.
Usualy it is illegal to reproduce in whole or part.
But as long as u dont tell i wont :D

re: swk's post: you're right--it is copyright infringement b/c he didn't cite the source of the stuff that he quoted verbatim and in fact was using the material as his own--so the fair use exception does not apply. His site is down for now, but we already copied everything and it is enough for a lawsuit.

Personally, it was more than just the topic stealing. It was this AIM conversation he had with Saiko, regarding him stealing our threads, and much worse:

But why the hell make both of us go through all that trouble when he's just going to admit it after digging himself into a ditch? He could've just apologized immediately and removed them. Then he would've either gotten off scot-free or at least in a lot less shit than he's in now.
