i'll rephrase the question:
describe the sweetest/silliest/most embarassing thing that you have ever done for a girl.

hmm... can't think of anything too embarrassing right now... but memories of acts which completely defenestrated my pride do come in mind.

Well you know how when girls get flowers they normally hang them up to dry, right??? Well i've given my exgirlfriend so many "I fucked up, i'm sorry bouquets," that her room use to look like a floral shop. ;)

That's not whipped!
My ex-slave, er, boyfriend was whipped: he always did the dishes (I didn't know how), did all the ironing (again, didn't know how - still don't :P), took out the trash, massaged my head to sleep every night, always brought me flowers/my favorite jelly bellies/other candies to when picking me up from the airport (I used to travel more for work than he did), always carried all my bags when shopping; for 6 years opened car (and other) doors for me. Additionally, he got me through school (well, probably 80% of the work was my own :P), trained me to interview so that I got my offers, and even once I started working, did some of my work for me (cash flow statements are not that easy)! (Note: I am very lazy.)
I think he qualified as whipped. Additionally, his co-workers consistently made fun of his whipped state.
Hmmm...that doesn't really work with rephrased question...my apologies....

so, ok, when is it considered that someone has crossed the line from "thoughtful" to "whipped"?

you know...i tend to think of being whipped as--when all that is being done and continues to be done even though the other party is not truly appreciative and is taking it all for granted. so, in that sense, i never felt like i was "whipped".
but anyhow, this thread is about you *guys* being whipped. do tell. :)

oh well that's a whole different situation. you're talking about when a guy is doing all kinds of shit for a girl and she doesn't appreciate it. i think of being "whipped" as the guy being completely stupid over the girl, and she may or may not appreciate it.

swk: perhaps yours is the better definition.
whipped: being stupid/silly over a girl.
please share your experiences.
(gawd, it is so hard getting you guys to talk.)

Are you offering? :)
Oh wait, you said not literally. Nope. My refusal to become whipped is THE main reason for my breakups. Maybe there's a pattern to the women I date. And also, I am pretty lame.

well... sometimes "doing too much" can be annoying to the other person...
i don't think it has anything to do with how much you do for each other. if the girl is attracted to you, you can be an ass to her and it won't change that. if the girl is not attracted to you, you can climb mount everest for her and it won't change that.

That's so true. Same goes for guys, though.

i am a lifelong bitch of everyone. so that does include women. wouldn't be whipped i guess (since that implies i wasn't subordinate to begin with). :)
