so i know of this girl that only dates white guys b/c they're more willing to do things, for example--yoga, she says-- with her that asian guys are. in fact, most asian guys have absolutely refused to do it with her.

what do you guys think of yoga? is it fruity or something?

btw. daniel wu does yoga regularly. :)

No, contorting myself into a pretzel does not appeal to me. And looks like it hurts like hell.

In high school, one of my friends from the volleyball team took a yoga class at the JC because he hurt his back and needed it for therapy. He wanted me to take the class with him, but i just didn't have the time. (it looked kinda fun)

I've done yoga and tai chi. Nothing wrong with it, just I prefer other kinds of exercise.

i think yoga looks really cool! i've heard it's a great form of exercise, and i'd love to get that flexible!

I used to do yoga several years ago. I would like to get back into it...if I ever get away from this flab-inducing computer. I like yoga because it's non-competitive — it's not about "winning" over someone else. Of course, someone is quick to label a non-competitive physical activity as "fruity." *roll eyes*

i want to try the one where it's taught in a 95 to 100 degree room. the heat is supposed to help your muscles stretch more.

Wow your odds of getting a muscle cramp while in the human pretzel mode would definitely be a kodak moment :P

I've always wanted to try yoga. And I was going to go for modern dance too, which also involves a lot of yoga-like positions plus a lot of self expression. Yeah!

I saw a guy doing yoga while I was inside the sauna. Might I note that he was White. :P

This sounds oddly familiar...=P Yeah, I'd be down. It's good for the body and, hey, if it'll help me land a girl, why the hell not??=) It's definitely not fruity--Dhalsim does it.

As for the white dudes that're more willing to try new things, I'm guessing that there's probably a correlation between the desire to date outside your ethnicity and willingness to try "different" things. My own thoughts are that there're probably a smaller percentage of white males in America willing to do yoga than Asian males.

I'm not really sure about that. I mean.. maybe your right. And wellz, I think meditation kinda correlates with yoga. And i remember growing up.. my white parents being into Maharishi Mahesh Yogi... and even participated in a Transcendental Meditation Program... and my parents friends were all into it as well... And i remember as a young child.. they got me into it.. and i was taught by a white male....

Well... there's a difference between actually Trying VS. Doing... and levitation IS Possible.

In middle school, my friend and I would try to levitate this huge tree in the central quad. Never worked but I'm pretty sure we didn't have the proper technique down.

This levitation, have you seen it with your own eyes?? I've heard of people who've experienced the sensation of levitating during meditation, but I don't know that they were necessarily floating off the ground. I want to believe it's possible but I've yet to see anything to dispel my skepticism.

yeah, i have witnessed it. and of all places it occurred.. it happened in a church.. where a bunch of us youth group kids.. levitated this person from off the floor... we went thru this whole seance ritual... and it was a pretty overwhelming site to see...

So what's the big deal about men doing yoga ?
I personally don't see anything wrong with men doing yoga. It's just stretching and excercises right ? I think of it as horizontal tai chi! well, with other flexibility excercises combined.

let's yoga!

i am wayyyy too inflexible to ever even ATTEMPT yoga. But if i were a flexible person, sure yoga and shaolin kungfu! i mean i may even become so flexible i can suck my own dick!

and if i can STRETCH my cock longer on its own...Hot diggity damn!

oh. those classes are offered specially at bikram yoga.
www.bikramyoganyc.com

those are 90 minute classes and my doctor told me it's not an ideal situation.
your brain becomes quite dehydrated.
so he says..

but guys.. it's okay.. you can do yoga even if you're not so flexible.
really.

I saw a clip of that helicopter sex. It was crazy. My girlfriend won't try it with me. Hehe...

Don't people fart while doing yoga? I'm not sure having the temperature in the room being higher would help the smell much.

Never tried yoga, but I took a stretch class once. I was stretched and contorted and pulled and pushed. It hurt so much I wanted to hit someone. The next day I was sore as if I'd done some lifting, but I hadn't. I felt great the next day though, so there's something to be said about it.

I also saw a program about the benifits of stretching and there was this 90 year woman who stretched daily (I think she was a contortionist in her younger days) and she was still able to do splits and handstand push-ups, it was impressive.

I would try it. But I would kind of feel bad not doing it for it's true purpose. Which is to reach the point of "Samadhi", which is the point where the "knower becomes the known", (Hinduism). So yeah. And body countorations take a long time to master.

I find yoga very soothing. I don't like doing it in a group because I can't stand to hear other people breathing. I do it at home, with the lights low and a dvd popped in. My dvd has relaxation sessions interspersed throughout it for meditation.

I like pilates better to tone though. More of a workout by isolation of muscle groups.
