why is zhongwen.com's forums closed? do alot of racists post there?

Dunno. chinalanguage.com's forums have that problem though. Most of the racists being Koreans, Japanese, Chinese, and Vietnamese arguing about historical events.

yeah sort of like this thread where some guy claims that Koreans invented the Chinese language (http://www.chinalanguage.com/forum/read.php?f=1&i=1632&t=1632), or this other thread i can't find right now which claims that Cantonese people are really Vietnamese.
why the hell do they want to do that at a site like chinalanguage.com or zhongwen.com? those sites are like dictionaries and the forums are usually used for linguistic help. (and i'm sure there are plenty of stupid Chinese people that go on other East Asian lingustic sites to claim that everything came from China. probably happens even more so.)

a white colleague asked me how to say "work harder" in Cantonese. i told him "diu lei" which means "fuck you".

is it the fact that they were arguing about historical events that makes them racists?
