no amie. while we're still young enough to and our feet, back and legs can withstand it, you must squeeze ur feet into narrow, pointy-toed shoes with at least 3 inch heels. u must u must. hehehe....
well just b/c i do doesn't mean that you should suffer too.
i'm not a big fan of "comfy" work shoes b/c comfy invariably translates to ugly/granny.
try "easy spirit" they have *some* few pairs of okay looking presumably "comfy" shoes that don't give you bunions and back pain.
on an aside...was very very annoyed a couple months when i was walking around and this random woman stopped me to ask me if i get back pain from the shoes i was wearing. i had about a million snappy retorts to shoot back at her but at the time, i could only open and close my mouth in shock that someone could be so blatantly rude....

My friend has a pair of Hush Puppy shoes and they don't look bad and they're pretty damned comfy. You could try those.

many of the fancy lines come out with comfort shoes now.
for example, kenneth cole has come out with 'reactions'. all reactions are easy to walk in--you can even run in them, etc.
nine west has 'clouds'.
etc. etc.

Can you say, "hammer toes?"=/ Fire away with as many snappy retorts as you deem necessary...=)

unfortunately i've had to reconsider my choice of footwear lately as i've been experiencing back problems, knee problems, foot pain and of course, my feet have gotten messed up too. sexy eh? but it's been worth it. it has it has! what price beauty?

Then don't wear 'em, I say! Take a stand! Don't cave to whack societal pressure!

most of the time i dont -- i actually havent worn heels once during the past year. of course if we're going somewhere like a wedding then i'd have to cave to my parents demands and "wear proper shoes."

i <3 flip flops.
i meant comfy click click shoes! get it? click click.. the sound the shoes make against the floor? usually the only shoes that make the sound are heeled, and the ones i have aren't very comfy. narf. guess they don't exist. just wanted some that were reasonably comfy cus i have to stand all day.

footwear is my only form of personal expression in my conservative profession. i love heels. i love shoes. generally the nicer/sexier the shoe, the more uncomfortable it is. it's some strange correlative function rule that i have yet to see violated...

hey amy--
now i'm going to swear by banana republic shoes, b/c i just ran from the street to my parking garage where the gate was closing on me--and i made it in less than 20 seconds (RX can testify to that)--wearing my banana stilettos (which have about 1 1/2 inches heels) and i felt like i was running in sneakers. i just got the shoes and they were on sale for less than $40. check banana out!

click click ones are prettier!
alright. i'll go look at kenneth cole shoes.
today i wore my birks. yesterday i wore other ones. but omg, i had to run after this woman with 2 kids and her mother through the mall to look for them in the parking lot. i forgot to give them their receipt and felt bad so i felt obligated to.
