ugh. too much of that makes me want to just stick a big fluffy bunny tail on a guy and point and laugh.

Hell no. I can't stand it when anyone does that. If I did that, I'd be afraid that she'd go into baby talk mode herself.

sometimes when you're really happy, you can't help it. hasn't that ever happened before? i think i've made every guy i dated do it at least once. even the manliest of men baby talk, so admit it!

No it's moist. I can't stand it when a girlfriend does it either and expects me to reciprocate. I just say, Riiiiiiiiiiight.

Okay, I admit it. I baby talk...but only to puppies. Like buoywonder, I don't even baby talk to babies. I think it's kind of condescending.

We think or assume they do, but I'll bet they're really thinking, "what the fuck is up with this dude? Each time he comes near, he can't even speak right....fucking dumbass!" Okay, so maybe not. :)

Hey, you could be onto something here! Treat a baby like a dumb little baby (with the requisite baby talk) and he or she will behave like a dumb little baby that barfs, poops and pees everywhere, thereby making your life a living hell. Treat a baby with respect, and as an equal, and you get...?? Applying this to adults, talk to a person like he or she is a baby and, while they don't poop themselves, I find they can start acting kind of bratty.

Of course, babies are meant to be babied since they're only babies for a short time. Might as well enjoy that beforethey grow up into toddlers and then children then...*gulp*...adolescents...

No guy better babytalk me. It's really annoying even when I see other couples do it. The only thing I babytalk to is my dog, and still I'm just joking. "Aww. I wuv my widdle fuzzy wuzzy bitch."

Slightly off topic

I STILL talk like a baby or like a little kid around my mom. Pout, whine, act cute, gibberish.

and I'm 22 years old. And I'll be acting like this around my mom when I'm 50. I got some SERIOUS issues. :(

I'm a retard. I do this, and I'm also one of those nicknames kinda guy, sweetie, honey, baby...

Usually the nicknames I've given are sh*thead, dumbass, big stoopid jerk. I guess I'm better at this game then she is.

It's okay Honey Pumpkin. Heebie jeebies are a normal reaction to this.

This reminds me of the Seinfeld episode of "The Soup Nazi"... Jerry and Sheila are like..

"You're schmoopsie!"

"No you're schmoopsie!"

"No you're schmoopsie!"

And then George tries to show Jerry how ridiculous it looks when he starts baby-talking to his gf. It backfires and his gf actually loves the baby-talk, and then Jerry breaks it off with Sheila.

Shoot, now I'm reminded of Monsters Inc...

"Schmoopsie Poo!"

"Googly Bear!"

I just left this girls house earlier today, and we've been spending a lot of time together, so I was doing a lot of "ok baby, yeah baby, talk to you later baby".

So my roomate calls me for something unrelated. I go to hang up and I'm like, 'alright see you in a bit baby'...

He was like, I hope there's someone else in the car with you. D'uh! Hey, after a while you get used to zoning out and using the cutesy words. sheesh.....

well, i haven't had a girl nickname me to the extent that my girl has now.

She started calling me boo and then booboo.

I've called her hunnybunny, bunny, babyboo & booboo. Some of the ones i say to bug her are bunner and boobie.
