Like Mother, Like Girlfriend

Do you find yourself going out with women who have a similar personality as your mother? Or do you actually like it if your girlfriend IS similar to your mommy dearest? Without thinking about the physical features of a woman (or man for that matter :rolleyes: ), what kind of personalities have you dated?

I would like to evetually and settle down with a girl like momma - let me clarify this point. I want my lady to love me as much as mom does - like unconditionally. This means I have to also love her very much and treat her very good.

Physical features no dayam way! Personality not totally!

Just someone who will love me unconditionally and take care of me like mom does. SOmone who will make sure I ate good daily and worried about my health, made sure I wore matching/clean clothes, etc.....


I think every guy eventually wants to marry a woman similar to mom's (thta's if he has a super good mom). Guys tend to have more expectations in a woman who have super moms because they think if their mom was super they would want to marry a lady that will also be a super mom to his kids.

Interestingly, today's health story on the local radio news station talked of something similar -- men who are close to their mothers.

The research indicates that men who are close to their mothers tend to be close to their mates.

Momma's boys are another story -- being less respectful of their mates.

its kinda interesting cuz i fell for this girl and i noticed there was a slight resemblance, SLIGHT. but she's athletic whereas my mom is not so much

on a related note, is it true what my brother tells me that a girl is likely to be like her mom (looks and everything else as well) when she gets to be her age?

I can definitely understand that desire, and it would be nice to be around a girl who was like my mama and who loved me liked my mama. I think most guys do want that; besides girlfriends, wives, etc. moms are the #1 female in our lives and usually if no one else is by our side, mom is. So yeah I don't see anything wrong with that.

Having said that, I'm not sure if I could date a girl that resembled my mom physically (most asian women fall into this category). You can't make out with someone who looks like your mother!

Ya know, I've heard that debate time and time again, and i really don't care to get into it again, i'm just speaking my point of view. It's not based on hatred, racism, or predjudice directed towards asian women, it's just the way i feel. Whether or not asian women use that as an excuse, well that's their problem.


For example, i was at the waterpark the other day and i saw an asian woman who looked to be about the same age as my mom, and she was weaing a bathing suit. Only thing I could think is yuck cause she really looked like my mom and she was wearing a two-piece and well, you get the picture. She may not look like her upon closer examination, hell there's a very good chance she wasn't even japanese. but that's besides the point. I think you understand what i'm trying to say here.
