I know the places. There used to be one here called E-Game Bang. On my frequent quests for inebriation at this one Korean bar/cafe called Stoneage in the same complex, I used to look at all the people inside and chuckle at them. Then, one day, I got really bored and tried it out. Sad to say, I became one of "those computer dorks." I wasted many an hour my third year in law school playing CounterStrike at that place. During my bar trip to Korea, my friend and I killed a lot of time doing the same shit. I recently went back E-Game only to find that the place had shut down. So sad. No more PC Banging for me.

Is it just me or does the fact that a girl plays CS make her all the hotter?=P

And where the hell did the term "mah" in place of "my" arise from? Words aren't s'posed to get longer when turned into slang!=P

My bro also told me that in Korea, kids actually throw down and one instance killed someone playing this game Lineage.

I've been to a PC bang once when I was visiting Korea, but for some reason I can't bring myself to spend money on playing games when I have a computer at home that can do the same thing. It's kinda like paying extra money to have some pump your gas/wash your windows (see post above in Whatever). In addition, most of the games they had were outdated.

I read somewhere in Asian countries that there are actually signs at these places that say please leave your weapons at the front desk, due to the rampant gang violence there.

It's sad to see what depths some people will sink to in order to exact some sort of 'retribution.'

LOL, its not just like that in Korea. A lot of instances of shit like that going on in OC. I know a lot of people who got their asses BEAT for winning at CS.... soooo lammme. =x

i played at some cybercafes in toronto while we were on vacation.. kinda cool, but the setup is more comfy at home.

yeah, this new place in san mateo called ky gamezone just opened up like a few months ago. i was thinking about going there, but now that i have my new computer... i don't have the need to. oh, and plus i'm away from home now, so that'd make it kinda hard. :o

i heard there was a murder at the PC place across the street from nice' cafe in san gabriel (yes the infamous nice cafe with 4-5 murders in last 3-4 years). It was called interplay the gaming place and from my friends in the area they said sumone got their ass kicked in counter strike and exchanged sum words w/ their rival CS players. This in turn became real life counter strike. now a prime Pc gaming place is now closed.

yeah ive heard a lot of stories about things like that. there are a few places around here that no one but gangsters will go to play. if u ask about it, people just reply, "a shank in the game is a shank in real life."
