Wouldn't that be funny if Sony happened to program AI into those suckers, and then they'd take over the world like in the Matrix, and then we'd get to live in these pods and pretend to live in a real world? That would be soooo cool! :D

according to wikipedia, these were scheduled to go on sale to the general public, but got cancelled early this year. still, wow, we're ("we" as in the human race) really far along as far as motion control. when AI catches up, oh my god. what i wouldn't give to travel to the future to see.
