Sweet Jesus. This is supposed to have online capabilities, correct? If so, I'm going to gamestop, buying somebody's used PS2 and kicking somebody's behind over broadband as soon as it's available.

Don't know if you're familiar with Initial D, the fast and furious like Japanese Animation... But when GT4 comes out, we should form our own racing team... the YW Speed Stars!!!
Isn't it coming out in June? Great there goes a summer then. I remember when GT3 first came out, me and my friend shat in our pants when we saw the intro video... Oh God, imagine what the intro video will be like!
My only gripe with GT4 is that Ferrari is missing. Oh well, I guess I can just hope that GT5 for PS3 will have Ferrari.

You ever played anything in that Midnight Club racing series? It's fun the first couple of times, but nowhere near the replay value as GT.

Yeah, most racing games are dull compared to GT. The only two I can think of that are anywhere near GT's level would be Ferrari F355 challenge and Sega Super GT in the arcade- me and my friends dropped so much money into that.

I'm in if we form the YW race team. This is the one game I've been waiting forever for and the one game that I bought the online adapter for.

I'm not going to buy the online adapter just yet... I'll buy it when I'm ready to go online. In other words, after I stop drooling excessively at the intro video, the 360 view of the cars, and the background detail. With the GT games, you can't just jump into a race- you gotta take time to admire all the friggin' time and effort they put into the graphics. Do you think the F1 cars will be in GT4?
Why won't GT use Ferrari? Ohhhhh... even if they just had a F355... damn, that would be it. I would go buy a surround sound system, the Momo steering wheel, and the pedals.
Just to be sure, it's available 06/30/04, right?

This game looks great. Oh, the countless hours and credits put into my GT3 garage. My crown jewel was probably my viper. I will definitely pick up an online adapter. How much will that run me?
I like some of the multiplayer games in the Midnight Club series, and being able to drive freely around these sprawling cities with its numerous shortcuts and nuances is definitely fun, and yet, still, it just doesn't get as much playtime as Gran Turismo. Has anyone played Need for Speed: Underground? Is it any good?

The online adapter is 40 bucks I believe.
I still want to buy a game with the adapter in mind. I guess I'll go for SOCOM and some baseball game.

I played NFS: Underground on some demo disk... ehhh, it's like all the other NFS games, if you've every played any of them. It's pretty arcade like and has a fast and furious feel to it. Not worth $50, I'd use that money somewhere else. It's entertaining, but I think if I rented it from Blockbuster, that would be enough NFS: Underground for me.
Which Viper did you use? The Team Oreca? The concept?
I'm a big F1 fan so my favorite cars are the F090/S (except mine's all black)

and the F687/S

Fantastic cars, with lots of history behind them. It does take some of the challenge out of the game, but they're so fun to drive, handling is telepathic. And the acceleration out of a corner, whoo-whee!

I've always liked the GTO since its AWD and much easier to control at high speeds.

Cool, thanks! Is anybody gonna get the steering wheel? Apparantly the new Logitech one is pretty damn good...
I found this funny game review on the net:
As far as I can tell, there is only one difference between a Gran Turismo addict and a heroin addict: their definition of track marks. Think about it: neither one eats, sleeps, or bathes on a regular basis. Both walk around with bloodshot eyes, mumbling incoherently. Their jobs, their girlfriends, all things are sacrificed for a quick fix. If I could synthesize the Gran Turismo formula into an injectable form and sell it on street corners, I’d be a rich man.
It's so true- I had this one coworker, on the day GT3 was released, he bought it and we played it a bit. When I left his house he was still playing. Work starts at 8... he didn't get there until 10 because he played straight through the night. And at first he said he just woke up late because he forgot to set his alarm. Then after a few minutes of interrogating him, he confessed he played GT3 all night. And then he left work early because, "he didn't feel well." And the next couple of weeks, the only thing he talked about was GT3, and his girlfriend was pissed at him because he didn't do anything but GT3. I think he's gonna get fired and dumped after GT4 is released...

The old one sucked donkey balls, but the new one will apparently be really good, with better responsiveness, stronger feedback, and coolest of all: will do a full 900 degrees.
Wow...I didn't expect for the ETA to be so close. Man, it's going to be awesome...
