Video game tricks and codes you've never forgotten

Back before days of the GameShark, Game Genie, and whatever else, we as gamers would actually have to sit back and manually discover secret codes and tricks to get invincibility, hundreds of extra lives, etc. The first one I remember doing was for Super Mario Bros. on the NES. Had to do it on stage 3-1 or 3-3...wait for one of the koopas to come down to the last step on those blocks, jump on him, then keep the shell going back and forth until you got to 1000 points, then it would keep giving u 1-ups until u reached 99. But go past 99 and your game ends.

I remembered when either you beat Metroid or typed in the name justin bailey for the password you got to play as samus aran without her armor on. I still remember that shock when I found out it was a girl...

I only know cheats for the Sims 'cuz I think the game is more fun when everyone starts out with millions of dollars.

Argh! Typing in reams of code (pokes?) just to get that elusive Elite status on Elite or to put extra glue in your glue gun on Roland's Rat Race.

it was kinda funny cuz if u typed the Doom cheats in Heretic (ID game) they would do the opposite effect. The God mode cheat kills u and the ammo cheat takes all ur guins away

There was one cheat for the dreamcast version of quake to get unlimted ammo, but i could never find it.

A B B A = Unlimited continues in Ikari Warriors. Until you reach the last boss. Never could beat that game...
