he's my favorite author. although I never read his books, I have watched tv and movie adaptations of his books. my favorite book from him would be duke of mount deer.

Wong Kar-Wai's Ashes of Time (http://www.ejumpcut.org/archive/jc44.2001/payne%20for%20site/wongkarwei2.html) is inspired by a Jin Yong novel.

Jin Yong's real name is Louis Cha, and he's a publishing maganate in Hong Kong.

I'm just thinking of all the film adaptions I've loved, but loathed the original book, and vice versa...

well there's been a couple of recent tv adaptations in china (tian long ba bu, condor heroes, xiao ao jiang hu) i was wondering if anybody knows of more news?

i don't think my Chinese is good enough to read his novels, but i just finished watching 射雕英雄傳 again.
