[CONNOR] American, Connor may be "a weathered 20, youthful 30, hard to tell." Open-faced and easy-going, Connor is trustworthy and fun to be around -- as long as you don't cross him. As a soldier with Army Special Forces, he learned some incredible martial arts skills. While taking a motorcycle tour of Thailand, he gets a chance to use his expertise when he runs into a ravening vampire on the lookout for human prey. Connor beats the "sucker," as they are known, and is recruited by vampire slayer Kiko to become a vampire bounty hunter. However, on his first assignment to clean out a vampire "nest" from a nearby temple, Connor finds himself falling in love with Sai Yin, a beautiful female vampire. As he learns, Sai Yin and the other Temple vampires are a peace-loving group who shun the taking of human life. When they are threatened by vicious vampires from Bangkok, Connor teams with the Temple crew to battle the bad guys -- facing overwhelming odds in the fight for the woman he has grown to love...LEAD (1)SHOULD HAVE MARTIAL ARTS SKILLS AND/OR BE IN GOOD PHYSICAL SHAPE/ATHLETIC. WILL BE REQUIRED TO LEARN MARTIAL ARTS.

[SAI YIN] 20s, unbelievably beautiful, this exotic Asian vampire speaks near-perfect English, and has the martial arts fighting skills of a true master. When Connor invades the vampire stronghold at the Temple, Sai Yin engages him in pitched battle -- but it's obvious, even during their fight, that they are immensely attracted to one another. But is she seducing him into the dark side, or truly falling in love with him? Not your typical vampire, Sai Yin follows the peaceful precepts of the Temple vampires, who shun the taking of human life and simply wish to live in peace. While taking a romantic ride through the countryside, Sai Yin and Connor fall afoul of the evil Rama and his vicious vampire followers. Later, Sai Yin pleads with Connor to save himself before Rama and his legions return to destroy the Temple vampires. However, she is secretly relieved when her human lover insists on battling the menace by her side...LEAD (42)SHOULD HAVE MARTIAL ARTS SKILLS AND/OR BE IN GOOD PHYSICAL SHAPE/ATHLETIC. WILL BE REQUIRED TO LEARN MARTIAL ARTS.

[RAMA] Asian, a hard-faced creature with silver fangs, he's the head of a vicious vampire gang from Bangkok. Wild-eyed and cold-hearted, with awesome supernatural abilities, he hunts Sai Yin and Connor, and is furious when they elude his clutches, killing several of his underlings in the process. He vows to return and wipe out the Temple Order -- but he finds that his prey isn't as easy as he had anticipated...(60)SHOULD HAVE MARTIAL ARTS SKILLS AND/OR BE IN GOOD PHYSICAL SHAPE/ATHLETIC. WILL BE REQUIRED TO LEARN MARTIAL ARTS.

STORY LINE: On a motorcycle tour of Thailand, CONNOR is attacked by a wandering vampire. After surviving the assault -- a near-miraculous feat -- he is recruited to become a vampire "slayer" by KIKO, an old hand in the slaying game. However, on his first assignment, Connor finds himself falling in love with the beautiful vampire, Sai Yin, whose peaceful Temple Order of vampires simply wants to live in peace. When a ravening vampire gang from Bangkok sets out to destroy the Temple Order, Connor joins the Temple vampires in a desperate battle that may well be their last...

The plot of the movie itself sounds too boring, even worse and cheesier than From Dust til Dawn.

And yes too typical and predictable;

Handsome white american GI, who's a real bad ass and such big stud that evil asian vampires fall for him and help him get rid of the evil asian guy.

It's always like this;

White guy = good
Asian guy = evil to the core
Asian girl = evil at first, but becomes good once she sees the light after having an orgasm with the white stud-muffin

wow, they even use the word "exotic" in the female lead description.

in all seriousness, who writes this shit? the nerds that lurk on the internet can do better.

vampire movies are cool, vampire movies with asian stereotypes are just bizarre.

What cracked me up is the description for sai yin- has to have "near-perfect" english.

Here's who I predict will star in this film:

Connor- Jean Claude Van Damme
Sai Yin- Kelly Hu (since Lucy Liu is doing pretty well)
Rama- any Asian Actor with martial arts skills, probably the guy who played Ninja #4 in American Ninja.

And here's the new story.

Connor is taking a motorcycle trip through Thailand when he is ambushed by a bunch of Asian vampires (that includes Sai Yin). He fights 'em off and fights Sai Yin until he just gets plain overpowered by them. They're about to kill him when Sai Yin, lustily looks at him and tells them not to kill him but to tie him up and take him back to HQ.

When Connor awakes, he finds out he's in a big ass room tied up with a bunch of other strong, brutish-type men. Rama and Sai Yin comes in and tells them that they have all been kidnapped and will be entered into a underground, fight to the death, vampire fighting circuit that is staged every 4 years for the entertainment of the vampires. Each human gets a chance to fight each other and the last human gets to fight Rama. If the human wins, they are set free.

Well along the way, Connor develops a relationship with Sai Yin, much to the chagrin of Rama, and she helps him out, tends to his wounds, and sleeps with him. This makes Rama furious and wants to kill Connor even more. The final battle between Rama and Conner is quite vicious and Rama cheats by kicking Conner into the crowd, where one of his henchmen inject him with a drug that blurrs his vision. Conner gets the crap kicked out of him and gets kicked into the crowd again, this time into Sai Yin's arms. She gives him a antidote the drug, kisses him, and Conner kicks Rama to death. At the end, Connor is standing in the ring, with everybody cheering "White Warrior" in Thai, which now means he has won over the vampire gang with his kickboxing. Sai Yin runs up to him and kisses him. The End.

:D.

Come on..the movie is called "Vampires: Temple of blood" don't expect anything high brow here. Although I have to admit the asian female dragon lady is the new B-movie blonde actress. I can already see the producers rubbing their Shylock hands mumbling to themselves: "Let's see how many movies we can put out that show asian male villains and asian female sex toys before the collective white male ego pops like a balloon from overinflation."

ChairmanMah

same shit different theme. White savior takes Asian princess and saves her from Asian heathens.

I predict scenes with..

The asian female vampire offering to suck the "blood" out of the American GI's penis somewhere in the movie.

An uncharismatic asian male villain who speaks broken english and has to be shorter than the white American GI hero.

Some well placed Fu Manchu stereotypes. Maybe the asian male villain will also have one of those Qing ponytails and bow a lot too.

A "oriental" sidekick. Someone dorky effeminate and subservient to the white hero who's played for laughs. "Ah so Captain Johnson, without the venerable white man our village will have been conquered by the evil asian male supernatural vampires."

The sidekick or female vampire will die sometime during the movie for dramatic effect.

Or maybe a white female will crop up as the real love interest and the asian female is just the temptress.

You gotta love hollywood.. :rolleyes:

yeah, the plot sounds too cheesy and 80's like SWK said. But I wouldn't be surprised if someone actually liked the idea and decided to invest money on it. If not check out SWAT, the plot was too cheesy, and the over acting of though attitudes even made it cheesier

They must have gotten some inspiration from those stupid Dark Goth Lolita street style that was going on in Japan for a while. Anyway, whatever. Hollywood is running out of ideas, and is recycling boring rehashed shit anyway. Hell, more and more people are watching movies out of Asia, just because it's definitely more original than shit out of L.A. I'd say that a lot of the crime movies in Asia are getting better and better.

I'm still looking at how they managed to put the phrase "unbelieveably beautiful, exotic asian vampire" in their casting sheet with a straight face.

The sad thing is, with the success of Underworld and a sequel upcoming, if a major studio released this schlock in the Fall, it could probably pull in $6-10M on opening weekend. There's a guaranteed built-in vampire audience. And hey, it can't do any worse than Queen of the Damned ($30M total US gross).

I'd be interested in seeing more descriptions of Asian roles in casting calls.
