dangerous business

our firm is in lockdown right now b/c one of our clients (a member in a class action) is pissed off and called here threatening to start something. i can't disclose why he's pissed, obviously, b/c that's confidential stuff - don't speculate!

we called security and our front door is locked. i have to pee and our bathroom is in the hallway. i can leave through the sidedoor but i have to be careful that some guy doesn't follow me in. i'm scared to go.


something similar happened when i was working at the legal aid foundation. it was late at night, and somebody left a backpack with a bloody knife inside at our back door.


i imagine that people in other professions have faced similar problems with angry customers/clients. share stories?

stay safe, um, i can't say i've been in a similar situation, but i have friends who've been threatened by insane students.

well nothing that scary has happened to me or at my workplaces before. the only weird and freaky incident that happened about 6 months ago was that of a peeping tom. my co-worker ran back in frantically telling us that she was just peeing in the ladies room when all of a sudden she noticed a perverted face looking up at her from the next stall!!! when she screamed, he bolted quick-style and there was no sign of him.

about a month ago, she said she saw him again lurking about the building. we called the police but again, he was no where to be found.
