Once they get it up to 10GB in that form-factor, I'm ditching Minidisc.

From a BusinessWeek article:
"...Here are the hard numbers. The new miniPod will cost $249. That's about $100 more than the rumor sites had posited. It will offer 4 gigabytes of capacity on its hard drive. By comparison, the entry-level iPod now costs $299 and has 15 gigabytes of disk space. The miniPod's cost per gigabyte is $62.50. In the entry-level iPod, it's about $20.
So Apple is asking customers to pay three times as much per gigabyte. I have one word for that. Ouch..."
Multiple colors are the draw? This is RED-ICULOUS!
Apple, I love you like a redheaded stepchild, but GET YOUR FRIGGIN' ACT TOGETHER!!!

Well, to be fair, my slider cellphone isn't THAT much different in size, just thicker...and after misplacing two cellies so far, I am NOT about to lose that one!
Believe me, if I pay serious money for something small and electronic, I'm keeping that on a leash close to my dick region!
I'd imagine there's a belt clip or slot for something similar...hopefully...

i think the minipod is retarded. although the blue would look ok if the click wheel was blue as well... way to go apple, you strayed and made something ugly, too bad it STILL costs more and probably isn't as good (much like their computers).

Hopefully they made the price high cause its still new. When it goes down the the speculated price we were all expecting of $100 to $150, then maybe it'll be worth it. I personally like the smaller size, easier to carry when jogging. Also I don't need anything more the 1,000 songs at a time any way.

which building is she at?
And can she get us a discount?
The hard drive space aspect of the larger gigged iPods was the best thing. You could have your music, plus plenty of space leftover for jacking files from other people's computers either by sharing or on the down low.
