Yeah...the whole collector's vinyl figure thing has steadily built up steam these last few years.

I look at that stuff and go..."Ooh, cool...I want that," but then I think, "what the hell would I do with that?" and go out to eat, instead.

But, apparently, they can be investments in the same way that sports cards can be...or lame-o Thomas Kinkade paintings. But sports cards have taken a huge hit this past decade, and some Kinkade fans are pissed at devaluation of their "investments" through watering down of limited editions...and then, of course, there's the cautionary tale presented by Beanie Babies.

Anyway...I wonder how stable and long-lived the collectible vinyl action figure thing will be.
