You ever hear some music from an old game you had back in those yesteryears and you immediately know what it is? When I hear that stage one music from Streets of Rage 2, I know right away what's up. http://www.vgmusic.com/music/console/sega/genesis/sor2-1.mid
And Sonic Spinball, don't get me started.

Ninja Gaiden. I have MIDIs hehe.
Tengen Tetris. I have a trance remix. It's funny. Anyone wants it, PM me.
Remember when games didn't have music? =D
Streets of Rage was pretty cool. I always played the colored guy. Not colored like me but better than being white.

ooh ooh, speaking of Streets of Rage 2 my bro went looking all over Taipei for it few years back. he even knew the name of the composer and stuff. these days they just use composers and orchestras and stuff. if they do electronic they just get well known people like Paul Oakenfold

Yeah, it was Yuzo Koshiro. He did music for a bunch of Sega's games back in the '90's...that Streets of Rage 2 soundtrack was ahead of its time with the techno/electronica sound.

I prefer stuff from Square RPGs. I have the Chrono Cross OST and a bunch of MP3s from FF.

megaman 2 stages: metal man, wood man, air man, heat man, quick man, flash man, bubble man, crash man, and the wily stages were all memorable.

Oh, yeah..the Mega Man series has the dope ass beats. My father actually came into the room when I was playing Mega Man 3 when it came out, and he heard the Needle Man music, which is like some kinda high paced funk, and he was like, "you're in here jamming, ain't ya, boy?"

yeah, mega man 3 had some good ass music. i remember gemini man, magnet man, needle man and shadow man had good ones. but the best song from that game and maybe the entire mega man series was top man. he was such a sorry boss that they had to gave him good music just to offer him some credibility.

Outrun and Space Harrier were my favourites. Absolute classic they were.

Space Invaders is one of the big timers though. Music track was nothing but a constant rhythmic heartbeat, and the closer the invaders got to you, the faster it went...the game was simple, but that little extra made it scary.

Man, I don't remember music from video games. Usually I don't care. The songs I remember from video games are:
Sega Super GT in the arcade when you're driving around that airport at night (I think it was one of the beginner levels)
Onimusha when you're in that bonus level where you keep on going down levels and you have to fight more and more bad guys.
Silent Hill... that music is freaky! If you mute the game, it's not scary at all.

They have hip hop versions of Mario, Zelda, Spyhunter, Pac-man sounds, and even Final Fantasy (Drunken Tiger). Does anyone know of any others?
I like the Lunar: Eternal Blue theme song. It's so cheesy, I love it.
come on, no one remembers smb1 & 3? sheesh.
I had Super Mario Bros. as my ringer a few years back. Everyone's gotta remember that one.

The Russian equivalent of the macarena...song is catchy the first few times you hear it...after a while, you just wanna start throwing things.
