desktop button? haven't heard of it before. what i ususally do is hit the combination "ctrl+prnt scrn" (you know the button on the top right cluster of six) and then you open up MSPaint (good ol' bitmaps!) and just paste in there. Then, all you have to do is select what you want to keep, paste *that* into a new file, and go to save as. Voila! You have bypassed Flash's security measures that prevent you from grabbing the frame. Of course, you could also spend $300 on FlashMX, then get a free hack to crack the thing...

its the software that lets you make the movies in the first place. when i do web sites, i give people the option of paying me in computer stuff. this lady worked for macromedia, marketing i think or something, and i did up a little cute site for her and she paid me with studio mx <3 <3 but it's sitting on my hd unused cause i haven't had the time to play around with it

well, the thing is i don't have much use for porn at this point, so maybe a cute little program or something...plus you'd have to pay postage for the dvds :) generally, i don't accept videos for legal reasons unless its shrinkwrapped

There's a "print screen" key at the top right of your key board.

Press on it, and then paste it on Photoshop, crop it, and make it into a JPEG

what about changing a mpeg to a jpg???

.... is that somehting you want to do... can you do that? mpeg=movie, jpeg=picture... doesn't really seem to be worthwhile...

what about changing a mpeg to a jpg???

if it's just a frame from the movie I think you can use the 'print screen' key, and then do the same thing I told Mr. X

the other neat thing you can do is, if you have windows xp, you should have windows movie maker installed. it's fairly intuitive process of opening the mpeg and grabbing the frame

thanks for reminding me. i was supposed to ask my friend the exact same thing. apparently, you can even save the entire .fla file off the web, so you can play all those cool-ass flash games.

serious?!? how...

i thought with flash games u needed to have an option to dl to do so (after all thats how they get u to pay for em...)

anyway i figured out how cuz my bro told me the prt scr button simply puts the image on clipboard thats why i didnt know where it was

nope, not all of them. if you want to actually save the file, *all* you have to do is view source code, (under 'View' in IE, not sure of Netscpae, alt+f3 in opera) find the line that gives you the location of the .fla file, append it to the link that was in the window earlier, and then save it.

If you view it in Windows Media Player, turn the video acceleration off. (Tools > Options > Performance). Then take a snapshot.

I don't like Windows Movie Maker. It degrades the clips you import and makes them fuzzier.

Has flash become the newest trend for entertainment? A lot of cartoons on tv have started using Flash as their animation tools, probably because it's so cheap. And the new Clerks animated movie is gonna be done all in flash too.

they're doing clerks in flash? huh. but yeah, flash is very easy to get started with, you can go crazy with it, and still not take up too much bandwidth. btw, some .fla files *are* secured against such blatant copying, so my instructions fail about 1/2 the time
