I've packed all my bags and am very excited about the prospect of finally going home to British Columbia for a short while to improve my constitution. New handle bar shouldn't cost too much, chain is easy, bike rack my cost ya a lil bit to replace, might as well either straighten it or just take it off. And buy a better lock for it.

Why do they keep leaving pizza and Indian food and Chinese food, etc. restaurant menus by my door? Seems like every day it's more menus. Don't they know it's a waste of time for me to have to actually pick these menus up off the ground and then carry them inside to my trashcan to throw them out? How much time do I waste per year throwing away these stupid menus for restaurants that I have no intention of going to nor ordering from? Is there a "do-not-leave-menu-at-such-and-such's-house" list I can get on?

Another random thought - last night, I parked in a parking garage (the kind that has meters too) and noticed this BIG ASS Benz double parked a few spaces over from mine. "What a jerk!" I thought to myself. My dinnermate said jokingly that she'd like to scratch it up a bit with her key. Then, while coming back to my car from the Vietnamese restaurant, I notice the obnoxious Benz owner still double parked. I also noticed some tickets and a note under the windshield wiper! "Ha ha", we thought. "Poetic justice!" So I went over and looked at the two tickets - one for double-parking ($45) and one for expired meter ($35) and one nasty note that someone had left saying something like "way to go jerk good parking job thanks a lot einstein now there's one less spot for the rest of us". Ha ha ha we laughed and laughed. Then we got back to my car and decided to leave another, even nastier note than the other person had left. So I wrote it up (using words I shouldn't repeat here) and was all ready to go put it under the windshield wiper of the Benz when, we noticed the BENZ WAS GONE! It couldn't have gone too far because it took less than two minutes to write our nasty note. And indeed we spotted the Benz at the exit to the garage. We desperately tried to catch up to it as it pulled out onto the street. We had to see what these inconsiderate jerks looked like! And I had a note to give him too. But imagine my surprise when we finally catch up to the Benz, and it's AN 80-YEAR OLD GUY AND HIS WIFE!!! We felt horrible... as you can imagine. Moral of the story - try to get the whole picture before you overreact....

I had breakfast with the Mayor of Richmond. He wanted to thank me and three other volunteers for our dedicated public service to the city. We're very proud of ourselves.

I had a mushroom and swiss cheese omelette, unbuttered wholewheat toast and a glass of grapefruit juice. Mr. Brody (the Mayor) had Bavarian sausages, poached eggs, buttered toast, a cup of coffee, and two pancakes with butter & syrup. The Mayor can eat a lot.
