Not sure if there has ever been a discussion on this movie.. but i think the movie is freaking hilarious.
Basically anyone who has been an office monkey can sympathize w/ the characters on the show.
what scenes/characters can you identify w/ on a personal level? (like its happened to you in real life)
lol, i love this movie. but i know some people who *LOVE* this movie in a scary way.
the opening scenes...when they're on the freeway, driving to work. when the main character is indecisive about changing lanes, and keeps braking. and when the other guy is rapping to his favorite song (volume cranked UP, if i recall), but then checks to make sure his door's locked and turns the volune DOWN when he drives by a black guy cuz he's scared of him.
and the fact that the pitiful inept heavy guy keeps getting his desk moved.
and the "flares".
ah, this was a good movie.

Moving my goddamn office all over the place. After 9/11 we obviously had no more office, but Citicorp lent us a floor as a temp office for our NY Ops.. We were like redheaded step children since another company was doing us a favor by giving us office space.

I do that all the time...except it has nothing to do with race, door locks, or fear...and everything to do with my blasting Christina Aguilera at near top volume.

lol, at least it's not Britney! but see, this is different, the white kid is a total poser, and i can imagine so many non-black people doing the exact same thing. it's funny, but sad at the same time if ya think about it.

Yeah, but, on occasion, it's been Justin.
Recently, when I had DMX's newest in the car, I'd turn it down, but only because the guy's so foul-mouthed that I actually felt bad about blasting it while next to older drivers or families.
The one time I was in a car blasting Britney was a few years ago in Beijing, when I was with friends in a cab and we thought it would be funny for the taxi driver to turn up the volume on "Baby One More Time" while we belted it out at the top of our lungs.

Man, I used that movie as a coping mechanism for a long time. I totally had a Lundbergh boss and corporate environment. And I go through the Michael Bolton thing at least once a week, since my name is very similar to Kim Novak, the old movie star.

Yeah, but that's...cool. Having the same name as Michael Bolton is not.

hey now.. there's nothing wrong w/ a l'il JT now and then.
I heard that swingline had start making red staplers after the movie because there was such a huge demand for it. Apparently people were painting regular black ones red and selling them for mad profit. So they decided to just produce their own.
