Negative. I hate needles. Besides, my white blood cells are beasts, they kick ass. *knocks on wood* tee hee!
I just started work in a research department that happens to be housed in a hospital, so to be on the safe side I would have gotten it if I hadn't already. This year's flu season is expected to be very harsh (compared to the previous two years which were mild), and the peak is a month away. There are 6000+ cases in Colorado with a couple kids dead. If you get hit with it, that's a lot of lost productivity. While the flu shot isn't guaranteed to work since they're guessing which strains will go around, I think it's worth protecting yourself. If you have kids, I think it's very important they be vaccinated.

I've never gotten a flu shot. I haven't planned to get one, either.
I heard that this year's vaccine is running out and it's still early. The two makers are out, I think, and aren't making any more for this year.
There is an advisory for the elderly and people with medical conditions to go out and get theirs if they haven't already. *hint, hint, Amy*

One of my friends works for the company that makes FluMist. http://www.flumist.com/
There's still plenty of it left (couple million doses) and its a nasal spray (no needles). You can try that if you can't get a shot.
Anyway, I got a shot a few weeks ago and it was completely painless. I didn't feel the needle go in or out. The needle itself was less than an inch long. There wasn't even any blood.

Yes. They made us take the booster at the beginning of the term so no one would become ill. But people still fell victim to the sickness in any case, and now the whole of Grey College (and perhaps even the University!) has a rotating case of the flu going around.
