Anyone having to search for a specific post within a huge multi-paged thread can testify that it can be a pain in the arse. Before I would typically have to use the search within a thread feature to find something, but now there's an easier way!
Open up any thread. At the top of each thread page, you'll see some links: a button for new threads, previous thread/next thread, and then the linear, hybrid or threaded options.
Threads are displayed in linear mode by default. This is mode will basically just display all the posts within a thread. The hybrid mode will place a little window at the top of each thread displaying the thread's post structure, while all posts will still be displayed normally below the window. You can quickly jump to a specific post using this window. The threaded mode will do the same as the hybrid mode but will only display the individual post selected in the window.
