View Full Version : Zit Picking

I can remember as a teen and a college kid not leaving well enough alone.

There that little bulge of skin would sit, filling with zit stuff. But rather than let the swelling go down, I'd pinch it, splattering the contents of that shit spray everywhere -- on my face, neck, shirt -- person sitting next to me.

And then I'd have to deal with the blood coming out. And then there was the open wound that would take a while to heal into a scar, and then hopefully go away.

If I left it alone, would it have gotten better on its own? Why did I feel the urge to squeeze my zits?

It would go away by itself. 1-2 weeks. DONT pinch it. It will make it SO MUCH WORSE.

and dont eat any thing fried. like french fries. It gives you MORE pimples.

once it begins to get smaller, it starts to peel , and like gets dry.

Does anyone know if they are some medicine for it?
or some home remedy.

I hear some toothpaste can suck some moisture from the pimple. not wet toothpaste, dryish toothpaste.

where the hell do you buy dry toothpaste? fuck if you're gonna use toothpaste might as well floss up your face too.

Why not just put on a facial mask if you like peeling scabs? It helps to yank off all those dead skin flakes and let you appease your inner desire to peel layers off your face.

whenever i pick at a zit or facial blemish, i wipe over it with salicylic acid and then put clearasil cream on it.

the only time i ever pick it is if I really have to go out of the house that day for work etc or a hot date.

The worst zits are the ones you get on the nose! grrrr :D

ass pimples are bad. so are back pimples? how are you gonna pop those bad boys?

yea, toothpaste does work, but it'll irritate the skin and leave a red mark if you aren't careful.

seriously... i had a major prob when i was in my teens. took antibiotics and precription topical treatments.

if you have it bad, then nothing helps. all you can do is cleanse and not touch your face. then hope for the best.

i still get breakouts now and then as a 28-year-old. but less often.

goint to see a dermatologist to prevent the outbreaks and proper cleansing is your best bet to prevent scars.

You should not touch it and wait until it goes away. But as I can see, some of you have a problem with the "NOT TOUCHING IT" part. Sort of like me and biting fingernails. I can't leave 'em alone. It's a habit.

I have a friend who used to dime size zits all the time -- even on his nose. He reminded me of the witches that you'd see in the movies with 'em.

He picked one of those suckers, I could tell, one day, and man, it looked like a bullet wound.

In retrospect, I think it would have been better to let 'em go-away. I don't think the skin recovers as well when you splat 'em.

I'm getting a pimple on my side. I'm thinking it's going to hurt a lot when it's ready to pop.

sometimes, those acne problems aren't normal acne. they are cystic acne that leave bad scars no matter what, and you need to go see a dermatologist if you have something like that.

You use Oxycontin , or Oxypads. Either one of them, I forget. They are claimed to relieve pores from blackheads and penetrate to the zits and lets them breath.

It's oxy pads...
I think oxcontin is for a completely different purpose...

I know it's a myth, but drinking of plenty of water seems to work for me. For the most part, I think zits are stress-related, so if you are breaking out a lot, then it's probably stress. CALM DOWN!

When I get pimples, I get them on one side of my face and rarely on the other.

That's annoying.

They usually aren't those big white things people think of when they think "zit," but rather they seem to be deeper and dry.

Because of that, I should probably consider myself slightly lucky.

If I'd leave them alone, no one would probably notice, but nnnnooooo.

I squeeze them. That is very bad since I scar easily.

I’m going to start a regiment tomorrow to get rid of these spots.
