would you like to live in a fishbowl? where everyone can watch and critique what you do?

i used to want that. i pretended i had an imaginary audience all the time. i mean, what other incentive would i have to be perfect if noone were watching? but over time, i have learned the value of privacy....

If I was getting paid mucho dinero like the Osbournes, then perhaps I might try it for a few seasons. Otherwise, why the hell would I want the world scrutinizing everything that I do? I'd be disbarred in no time!

In a weird way, maintaining on online journal is kind of like living in your own fishbowl.

The net is truly one helluva narcissistic palace. Anyone have webcams? I guess they're one-step removed from The Osbournes.

yeh, except you get to pick and choose how you want to portray yourself.

i used to never pick my nose when i was little b/c i always thought spirits were watching me and would be disgusted. er...not that i pick my nose now. :lol:

i think fishbowl existences are interesting for those of us who are exhibitionists?

personally, i think life is one big fishbowl. after all, who do we live for if not for others. don't tell me that b.s. about living for urself because ultimately i doubt any of us have acheived that thoreau-like self-sufficiency.

personally, i doubt anyone would be interested in my life even if it were in a fishbowl.

m.i.b.II....that last scene is very telling..for those of u who haven't seen it, forget it. but those who have know what i'm talking about. life is all relative.

If I lived in a fishbowl, they'd be scarred for life and flush me down the toilet. They might even try to exorcise me first.

Yep. I'd think it'd be better if the sewers had no demon spawn in them.

fishbowls? no way! then people would start tapping on the glass and make funny faces and try to scare me. :blink: Plus would i get fed regularly or would my water be changed regularly?
