Can you bust a groove? [Archive]

If you go to a party/club/rave you know music is involved. And with music and a dance-floor you have dancing.

So what can you do?

I'm big with hip hop stuff like pop-lock, moonwalk, k-ups, 90s, etc. and bunch of freestyle stuff. I haven't gotten consistent with windmills, flares, and the like.

I also have been trying to learn the ballroom stuff. I'd like to learn latin and swing but haven't had anyone to walk me through but heh. so what about the rest of YW?

i can do VERY basic swing, salsa, and waltz. not very well though. i'm trying to learn how to pop, but my hits aren't very clean. learning how to do waves too, but that's requiring more muscle coordination than i have right now. i can do a mediocre to decent side/front/back glide. i kinda like to glowstick. :D

Well you know what they say about White guys, right? They have no rythem and from the looks of myself dancing (or should I say trying to dance) I certainly don't have any rythem and I just end up making a fool out of myself.
i know u're joking, but i've gotta say it's a myth. i've seen too many badass white guys dance to let that one pass. in fact, the guy who inspired me to take the liquid style seriously was white.

I hope you're not trying to be funny :dance: , but even if you are'nt I can see the humour in that. What type of dancing are you referring to? If you're talking about Tango, Cha-Cha then I guess White guys can dance but if it's street-style dancing ala nightclubs then I still, generally, disagree.

i'm w/the turtle on this one. the stereotype can be true, but i know lots of DOPE white guys that can dance circles around most ppl. my close friend is really good, but it's a little harder for him to gain the respect of others just cause they have that stigma.

i was talking about underground dance styles and was being totally serious. i mean, sure, some of the worst dancers i've seen have been white and there are an abundance of them, but also some of the very best i've seen have been white.

whoa whoa, but i know plenty of madbad (i just made that word up) asian dancers but i figured asians had a even worse stigma

people who dance or are physically active or whatever usually have better control of their bodies in addition to endurance or overall physical health so i guess somehow that translates to perhaps being better in bed than someone say who is out of shape or uncoordinated or has no control of their body *shrug*
