Seriously, Asians don't stink as much as other racial groups.

According to my calculations, that should bring our showering/bathing frequency to about once a month.

Anyone disagree?

oh, it's good to hear i don't "naturally" stink since i shower so rarely. :D

or asians smell better b/c we shower me? well, YOU shower mor--not me. then again no one's ever said, "CL you smell NICE" to me.

While some Asians do have a derth of those odor-causing glands, it's still nice to shower every day to help rub off the dead skin cells and any dirt you might have accumulated swimming through the wonderfully polluted air.

I think the reason why Asians might not smell as bad as others is because Asians are the least hariest racial group. Blacks actually are not that hairy, though it's not uncommon to see a hairy black person. White people are definitely the hairiest. Hair traps heat and bacteria, which cause odor.

Anyway, I shower once a day, during the weekends if I'm lazy and don't have anywhere to go, I might let 48 hours slip by without taking a shower. But that's the limit, no more than two days.

yeah... i disagree. just because a person doesn't smell, doesn't mean that hygenically, they are clean! please... we asians might have less hair so the odour just isn't trapped there. but... the bacteria still stays on our skin.

and regardless of how much we sweat, we still go to the bathroom everyday. come on... those areas need to stay clean! :blink:

once a day is good enough for me, except on days i go to the gym. then it's twice a day.

Shower regularly even if you supposedly don't smell (I think I've said it here before, but don't count on your nose. A lot of funky people don't smell their own funk).

Even if you don't smell, you're dirty.

I knew people who claimed to only bade once a week and although I don't remember them ever smelling, you could still see that they were in need of a washcloth and a bar of soap now and then (admittedly, only sometimes).

Even if you don't shower regularly, though, you should still wash-up in a sink or something to get rid of some of those dead skin cells and pass for clean.

Yeah, I totally disagree with you. And if you only shower once a month because you think Asians don't reek,.....then I wouldn't want to be your roommate.

As for the explanation on why Asians smell the least among all other ethnicities is due to a gland that produces odor.

Blacks have the largest of these odor glands (if any of you guys know the name of this gland...let me know). Hence they tend to smell a lot more than whites and Asians.

Whites are the second smelliest ethnicity (no offense but this is true according to a website I've looked at).

Then Asians have the smallest size of these organs...and in fact....some Chinese and Koreans don't have these glands at all!

But for me....I shower once a day. In LA, if you don't shower, you collect soot and smog particles on your skin and you really stink like a decaying toad, regardless of your ethnicity.

Here in Iraq the standard is one shower for every 2-3 days, although some areas get them daily, mmmmm we smell good!

and when i get home. if i've been out
partying i skip the second shower
and just go to bed.

i have to wash my hair everytime i take
a shower though. i'm too stupid to keep
it dry whilst in the shower.

i like hot showers.

i take a bath almost every sunday.
i normally just go to the spa and take
a floral bath there.

Wow! Bathe TWICE a day!

I wish I had the energy in the morning to shower. I know many people shower in the morning...but I shower in the evening after I come back from work.

This I think is logical....because you're all dirty and sweaty (smelly ...for me) after a long day at work. Plus I'm not the kind of person who would sleep in bed dirty. I'm very clean when it comes to sleeping (cuz I dislike washing my bed sheets at the laundrymat).

I bathe at least once, but usually twice a day. Once in the morning, once in the evening. I just don't like going to bed feeling dirty or starting the day without a wake up shower/bath.
