in all honesty, i've experience it when i was very young and at the time, was not clear that '___philes' existed.

i would never do it again.

reason why is because i don't think i ever felt fully respected as i should be... and though he was into my 'asian looks', he wasn't into dealing w/ my asian culture (i.e. patience with the cultural differences and trying to get to know my parents' ways). as a matter of fact, it was almost like he made me feel like his culture was more superior then mine.. and 'the chinese way' was backwards.

i'm sure not all asianphiles are as bad as my example... but i did learn to be carefull.

having said that, i don't have a problem with non-asians being attracted to asians. so long as they are also attracted to the person's beauty inside and are respectfull as anyone should be in a relationship.
