No, I don't agree. For instance, I have had unpleasant experiences with people of all ethnicities and races; I don't go around ranting on YW "FUCKING (insert racial slur) RUINED MY DAY!"

I don't see how by asking people to refrain from using racial slurs, I'm anti-Korean or anti-Chinese. However, I do see that you're anti-ChinaLama, since I can't seem to make a single post without your questioning my judgment.

sorry, we don't go by radiobum English here. In American English, "jap" is pretty much up there with "gook" or "chink." In other words, regardless of the circumstances, it's not a preferred word. :-P

Easy to say when he's in Japan. I'd like to see him to say that *in* China.

i don't consider the word "jap" to be a racial slur, and there are many more nasty words which can be used to describe the japanese anyway.That's fine that you don't consider the term a slur, but many of our members do, including myself. Please refrain from using it.

I found this article from Seoul Daily's website.

Look at this bafoon named Ishiharassment. He calls China "Shina" a derogatory term for CHina, and said that Koreans wanted the Japs to rule their country.

No wonder their country shakes with God's temper with constant earthquakes.

Look. I tolerate you racism but cannot tolerate your hipocracy and I wont. How can you say "oh ishihara is saying racist things" and then use racist comments all over your post? Whats with that? As for ishihara yes he is a known racist. He is a extreme. He thinks he lives in 1930s japan... You know what? A large group of "sneaky japs" held a large protest against this man. They want him to resign. I think that there are plenty that do. As for gods Temper that is just bullshit. China was recently struck with a terrible earth quake. I guess it was gods temper no? my advice to you is that if you want people to listen to you about how racist the evil sneaky "japs" are dont use deragatory words. I have no problems with you insulting ishihara. But dont insult my race.

I've been following this Ishihara character for a while. My diagnosis is that he's suffering from some form of delusional paranoia.

i think he was referring to small number of chinese which committed crimes in japan. anyway, he is a radical so whatever he says is crazy.

but the thing that is a concern is that he is very popular for his radical remarks in japan. it is also very possible that he could become a future pm of japan.

He is a racist. But he takes his job to far. He doesnt know when to stop. In tokyo there is a very big problem with chinese people murdering japanese. This man wants to remove each chinese person from tokyo and send them back to china. I am sure you already know this. But you saying he is delisional and paranoid is only putting it nicely. Atleast they dont become worse than Ishihara.

I doubt he would become prime minister and he isnt that popular with the people in tokyo anymore. He "flaps his mouth to much". But yes he is a crazy radical. This still does not give a "angry korean" the right to use deragatory remarks to japanese people.

i only said that is a possibility. and it would be a mistake to rule him out this easily. every german knew hilter was a crazy radical and yet he was elected and went on to conquer europe.

anyway, i don't think he can survive diplomatically if he were to becoming a japanese pm. but then again, he is a politician, and i'm sure he would become more asia-friendly if elected.

just like clinton and bush talking tough on china or other issues before they were elected.

at the moment, he is making these radical remarks to gain votes and popularity. judging by his record, i believe he has long term ambition for a pm role in japan.

it is not right to insult japanese or anyone, but we need to understand the motive as to why he said it.

he is not saying it because he is a racist or feel like insulting the japanese. he said it because he was insulted in the first place.

and to me, what he said is not personal attack but an angry and honest expression of his true feelings. at least he is not a hyprocite.

Alright I suppose you cant rule him out but I still doubt that he will make it. As for yangbahn's RACIST comments. He felt insulted. Fine I accept that but you dont throw racial slurs that is still not excuse. If he would have insulted Mr.Ishihara then there would not have been a problem and this is not the first time he has used slurs against japanese people on this forum. To me it is a personal attack because I am japanese. If he doesnt like ishihara fine. Insult him but not all of us. He also used words like "japs" that means more than one. He was talking about us all and he is being a hipicrit to me. i don't think he was referring to all japanese as that would be inappropriate. there are many japanese that are moderate and know the difference between right and wrong.

however, ishihara is a japanese politician and also a governor of tokyo, so whatever he says will be perceived as a representation of what most japanese think.

it is also not true that all koreans insult japan all the time. at least, i have never seen funny costumes in korea mocking the japanese or korean politicians openly insult the japanese. have you?

north korea has always been hostile to japan due to historical reasons which all japanese should know.

but she is indeed a rogue state threating everybody in the region.
