there are some that are into all that "ancient" Chinese culture stuff. i went to the Smithsonian with one once and we were at this exhibit for this famous Chinese artist from a couple of dynasties ago, and she was going on and on about his work while mispronouncing his name the entire time. i had no idea who he was. :p i just smiled and said "yeah".

Damn, I can't believe that- is this the attitude that most Asian guys and non-Asian girls have of IR dating??? So then white girls are easy and are used to kill time in between the serious relationships then? That is shocking- I thought the AM/WF couple was more like The One in the Matrix- it's basically an anomally in the system and only 6 have existed. They usually talk about how they find asian culture interesting and their experiences traveling around asia etc. Some like asian culture from popular media images (anime, hentai, etc.) I don't think it's annoying or anything like that. I just don't think they are normal. I always try not to ask why you like asian culture so much out of respect.

yeah pretty much, these people aren't straight apples. You get a feeling like there's something wrong with them when you talk to them. Fondness of asian culture run through these type of people.

looking back, i didn't know. i didn't know what an asiaphile was and all the hoopla that comes with it till i joined yw.

if i know what i know now, i prolly wouldn't care and dismissed it as her being mad annoying. prolly would've just waited it out till something better came along. or when the annoyance factor outweighed the ass factor till it reaches the point of it being unbearable and being not worth it to put up with.

i actually find asiaphile guys a lot more annoying than asiaphile women. not cuz the male asiaphile dates asian women, but they either 1)latch onto you or 2)constantly try to outasian you or 3)the stupid shit that comes out of their mouths.

i have met only one in real life, and dated her for a short while. she was cute and skinny, but not sure i'd go as far as to say that she was hot. she did attract Asian men and i'm sure she just attracted them with her looks, like most other girls. personally, i had no idea she was an Asiaphile until i got to know her better. most of the guys she had been with were Asian.

i've chatted with female Asiaphiles online also. there was one in particular in Australia that was supposedly really hot, according to the picture she sent me. all the other female Asiaphiles i've came across online were butt ugly and/or fat.

well, i've only met one in real life, so it may not be a good example.
basically it was slowly revealed to me that she knew a lot about Chinese culture, and that she dated mostly Asian guys. other than that, she was basically normal, aside from some personal issues she had which was unrelated to anything Asian, which was also why i stopped calling her. the only Asian-related annoying thing about her was that she kept mispronouncing the few Chinese words she knew even though i kept correcting her.

I think that's because your thinking has to be a bit different to go out with an Asian guy, regardless if your Asianphile or not. Firstly, they have to see past the stereotypes and see that we're people and secondly, she has to be able to shrug off the heat she's gonna get for dating, "Bruce Lee". The cheerleader types tend to date to advance socially, like date the coolest guy in school. They're very suseptible to what other people say and think about them.

The goth and hippy girls, they either do odd things to stand out (goth) or are extremely open-minded (hippy) and are less suseptible to worry if somebody makes a comment like, "Eww... look at who she's dating!" I'm not saying that goth and hippy girls are the only girls that would date an Asian guy, but their personalities are the types that would date an Asian guy.

Hehe, kind of flattering to know there are a few cute ones who adore us like this. I knew only one personally and she was rather unattractive. But of the 8 WF who have married into my family I would say 2 were very attractive, and 5 were pretty above average in looks. Not a bad showing, LOL. (50% blonde too.) perosonally I would be ok with it. as long as she knew the real reason behindher attraction in the first place. If the girl knows what she's getting into, it'd be cool. Hehe, probably not. Although I think it because of the more negative misperceptions that male Asianphiles have, i.e. those thinking AFs are more docile and submissive while female Asianphiles don't have that perception in general.
