i think it all boils down to one thing: Attitude.
The way a guy carries himself speaks volumes. Nothing is sexier than a self-assured man.
what do you guys think?

on the other hand, i think women can sense confidence in a guy a mile away. i just don't think that is the only thing that will win a girl over. chemistry and compatibility are the most important.

Does that mean someone like Bill Gates is the sexiest man alive?

hm? money doesn't automatically mean self-assurance. heck for all we know, bill could be really paranoid about losing his money.

i didn't say money. tho i think in some men, money serves to compensate for other shortcomings. however, self-assurance is just something that a man has or doesn't. it's in the walk, the attitude, the way the talk and carry themselves. it's not about what's in their bank account, or what they wear or how much is in their wallets. au contraire, money flashing is a turn off. it's about confidence and of course, chemistry.

So what if Bill Gates was extremely confident in himself. Could you actually see him as attractive?

Some attitude, confidence, wit (I like a guy that can put up a challenge in a battle of wits), and intelligence and smarts (that stuff should keep him from being too cocky, arrogant, or stupid; like, not going overboard; that can be hard sometimes for people). I fall for sweetness and thoughtfulness. Being artistic is a bonus. Appearance of course. You can't forget that. But I'm not shallow or anything. You have to admit that appearance plays a part in an attractive man. That includes how he holds himself. I prefer a good posture over a slouchy guy that seems introverted.
edit: I forgot fun and adventurous. How could I forget that? I can never stand boring people at all. I always need fun people with a good sense of humour. Otherwise, no matter how attractive he is, it wouldn't go well.

question
would "the way he carries himself" have to include how he dresses? is it possible for a man with no fashion sense to "carry himself" well?

Yeah, but I think it's easier to get self-assurance than to get real wealth.

one would hope that someone who carries themselves well also has fashion sense. at least to look presentable. it's like when a woman has class...she just does or doesn't.

hmmm so fashion sense is very important. gah, that's something i have to work on.
so would dressing well be considered a physical attribute? and another thing, some people (guys and girls) don't really have the body to look "well-dressed". i mean sure you can dress well even if you're really short and stubby, but it helps alot if you're not.

I wouldn't want a guy that dresses in a suit and tie (though that can be pretty sexy if it's not done all the time) nor do I want a guy that dresses in greasy, sweaty, dirty clothes. It'd be nice if they could dress themselves nicely (skateboarder clothes!) and have good grooming habits. Not the 2 years in the bathroom kind of grooming habits though. That'd be too much.

>> confidence is incredibly sexy. in fact its a must-have. who wants a guy who walks with his head down and needs constant reassurance that he's good enough to date you?
>> as for physical attributes...nice smile...a stylish hair-do...big eyes [not like goldfish eyes or anything but ones that arent too...squinty? haha] fashion sense can make or break a guy's looks. if he dresses like he just came back from the gym all the time he'll be labeled as a scrub. scrubs arent exactly on my "to-date" list.
>> cockiness, guys who flaunt their possessions make we want to turn lez.
>> intelligence ranks right up there with confidence. i dont like talking to walls which is what talking to a guy w/o a brain is like. outgoing-ness is good. a guy who can make me laugh has an easier time making his way into my heart than a guy whose serious all the time.

hmm i'm pretty confident... and i don't think i'm dumb... definitely not cocky. so i guess all i'm missing is the fashion sense and the nice haircut. i am sporting the "almost no hair" hair-do right now. i like it because i don't have to do shit with it. :)

Mind you not that guys place demands on what a woman "ought" to look and carry themselves too. :)
